Die Teichmänner laden wieder zum Familienabend in den Suicide Circus und freuen sich auf eine spannende und lange Nacht mit vielseitigem Tanzprogramm:
Der Stuttgarter Jackmate, auch bekannt als Soulphiction, ist einer der wichtigsten House Produzenten des Landes. Seit den frühen Neunzigern feilt er an einem eigenständigen, ebenso souligen, wie jackenden Musik Entwurf. Zahlreiche Platten u.a. auf seinen Labels Philpot oder Phil_E oder auf Dj Kozes Imprint Pampa Records zeugen davon und sind ein Muss in jedem Plattenkoffer.
Tyler Pope, seines Zeichens Bassist, der jüngst in die Geschichte eingegangenen New Yorker Formation LCD Soundsystem und der nicht minder fantastischen Chk, Chk, Chk, teilt sich mit dem Londoner Pete Z. den zweiten Floor.
Pete Z, ein Schulfreund von Andrew Wheaterall und DJ der ersten Stunde, ist vorallem bekannt für seine Kollaboration Time To Kill, die er gemeinsam mit dem alten Kumpel, der DJ Legende
DJ Harvey bildet. Dem Zeitgeist dürfte mit seinem Projekt “Das Etwas” auf Mule Musiq aber auch nicht entgangen sein. Die beiden werden sich mit einem Potpurri aus Old- und Newschool Disco und House gegenseitig hochschaukeln: von Disco, über No Wave und Kraut bis hin zu House aller Spielarten - Acid House, Deep, Garage, etc. - wir sind gespannt!
Etwas Berlin darf bei einer Familien-Feier im Suicide natürlich auch nicht fehlen: Live zu hören bekommen wir Leo Cubanero, der es wie kein anderer versteht die Zeit auszhebeln und das Publikum mit seinem vertrackten pulsierenden Groove an die Tanzfläche zu fesseln. “Wer hat an der Uhr gedreht?” fragt er darum passender Weise auf seinem letzen Festplatten Release.
Und zu guter letzt sollen natürlich auch die Gastgeber nicht unerwähnt bleiben:
They Made Us Do It! sagen die Teichmänner und geben sich widerstandslos dem Soul der Maschinen und dem Knistern des Vinyls hin.

Since their first album „The Number Of The Beat“ (2007) Gebrüder Teichmann have been exploring new and unknown, as well as already penetrated musical territories. They have been working with their friends – musicians and sound-nerds. They have been listening to the hum and secret messaged of their machines. These experiments set the ground-ton of the new album. The result is a hybrid composed of many citations: beside a compulsory bassdrum there is a room for a dynamic and playful soundbody overcoming classical refe- rencies in favour of new paths.
Mr. Moonraker Johnny Dangerous aka Foremost Poets raises his voice on a Teichmanns- Remix of „My Nenita / Not Asleep“ (originally by Fran Bareth). DJ Tijana T from Belgrade known from her co-operation with Abe Duque, turns more knobs and sings on „Hangover With Me“. A duet from the Philippines Duo Rubber Inc. turns „The Faketory“ into a cosmic Disco-Rave-Western to which the Father of Free-Jazz Uli Teichmann donates an energetic sax-solo – it is worth mentioning that this is the first ever collaboration of father and sons Teichmanns on one record. Composer Leopold Hurt plays arpeggio on „Different Brains“ accompanied by the „The Happy End“ master of chords Benni King with his infamous Circ- le of Death effects. Cellist Mathis Mayr from „Ensemble Mosaik“ and baritone Alois Späth divert „Auf dem Wasser“ into a crossover between Ennio Morricone and Aphex Twin. And above all this Gebrüder Teichmann pour down a magnificent hagel of Sci-Fi, Space-Techno and Disco.
The brothers have again produced their second studio-album strictly following the DIY- code: the limited and hand-stamped vinyl is released with a special artwork through their own label „Festplatten“.

Good old Atari ST is sequencing this slow house tune which brings more positive vibes onto this record. Our long time agent Chloe Richardson is playing the clarinet.

07 Brainwash (Adapter Edit) - not on vinyl
