Der Festplatten Abend im Suicide Circus geht in die 7. Runde und auch diesmal haben sich die Teichmänner ein sehr familiäres LineUp zusammengestellt. Neben dem Berliner Labelkollegen und Meister der vertrackten Technohypnose, Leo Cubanero, kommt diesmal wieder Tijana T. aus Belgrad. Sie ist nicht nur eine gute Freundin, sondern auch eine sehr gute DJane.
Bekannt geworden ist sie vorallem durch die gemeinsamen Auftritte und Studiokooperationen mit Abe Duque, aber auch ohne den Grand Monsieur des New York Technos hat sie einiges zu bieten. Nachdem sie bereits bei der Auftakt-Veranstaltung im September das Suicide mit ihrem wundervoll deep und groovigen Set verzaubert hat, kommt sie im März zum zweiten Mal, um mit den Teichmännern den modernen Balkan in Berlin aufleben zu lassen.

The Happy End initially released their debut album „Echoes of Jericho“ as a T-Shirt printed with a download-code, which was available at their gigs and on their website thehappyendisnear.com. Now, the album will be launched‚ traditionally‘ on CD by the record label Festplatten, which is marking it‘s own relaunch with this release after a two year hiatus.
With this release Festplatten are broadening their musical scope from their previous exclusive genre of Electro-music releases.
„Polarbear“ is the first single of the upcoming album.
The Happy End combines early 70‘s psychedelia with the non-conformist Punk movement. Brewing up an insane broth of feedback, experimentalelectro and aggressively melancholic vocals. With no breaks, the songs and acoustic-experiments flow into each other, noise and sweet melodies fighting both for survival. To take a breath is to show weakness! And the gigs they have performed to date have left their audience both elated and irritated in equal measures. The album‘s accompanying T-Shirts proclaim „The Happy End is Near“ and suggest you „Destroy your Brilliant Career!“
